WALK-IN

Walk-In will begin on November 1, 2023, through March 29th.  Walk-in is for urgent visits only. If you or your child is experiencing an emergency, please call 911.

When you arrive at our parking lot, please text our main number 508-668-2200.  Our main number will only receive a text during walk-in hours, which are Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM.  Walk-in is closed on weekends and holidays.

What to expect: You must arrive in our parking lot between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM to receive a walk-in appointment. Appointments will be taken in order of arrival and health concern and acuity.

Holiday Hours:   Monday, February 19, 2024, we can be reached for any urgent appointments through our answering service at 508-668-2200.  

2/1/2023 - Concerta Medication Shortage 

Methylphenidate (extended-release tablets) is discontinued by the manufacturer as of January 2023.  Currently, there is also a nationwide shortage of ADHD medication.  Please call the office when a refill is necessary and allow up to 7 business days to fill your prescription.  We understand the inconvenience and frustration this brings.  We ask for your patience at this time as our staff is working hard to help support our families during this issue.  

Cardiac Clearance

Those who are greater than 12 years old with a positive COVID test result are required to stay out of sports and physical activity for 10 days.

If you test positive and are greater than age 12 years at home or in the office, please text 508-404-7079 10 days after your positive test result.  

Please call the office (508-668-2200 #2) sooner if you have fever of 100.4 for greater than 4 days, fatigue or body aches for greater than 1 week, chest pain or shortness of breath.

Covid-19 Vaccination Policy

Walpole Pediatrics policy for a Covid-19 vaccination exemption letter will follow the CDC guidelines. Medical exemption for Covid-19 vaccination is for very specific reasons that can be found on the CDC website https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/c... .  If you or your child have concerns regarding your school’s Covid-19 vaccination policy, we recommend you contact the school’s health department to express your concerns.   The physicians, nurse practitioner and nursing staff Walpole Pediatrics highly recommends Covid-19 vaccination for all eligible patients. 

 

We encourage our eligible patients to be vaccinated against Covid 19.  Please visit  https://www.mass.gov/covid-19  to find a convenient location near you.

Currently, the manufacturer recommendation for Covid-19 asymptomatic testing is by PCR only.   Please call the office to schedule an appointment.

As we continue to navigate the Corona virus pandemic and follow recommended protocols, our office will remain open.  We are asking anyone over the age of 2 to wear a mask when entering our office.

Currently, our check-in process is to call the office from the parking lot and press number 3 to reach the front desk - 508-668-2200 #3.  We will check you in and when your appointment is ready to begin you will receive a callback and you will be directed as to what door you will enter the office.  You will be asked the following questions prior to your appointment:

1.     Within the last 10 days have you/your child or a household member had close contact with a symptomatic person diagnosed with COVID-19 or awaiting test results?

 2.    Within the last 3 days have you/your child had any of the following symptoms: fatigue, congestion, runny nose, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. fever, chills, cough, difficulty breathing, sore throat, body aches, new headache, or loss of taste or smell?

We will continue to be open on Saturdays for emergent illnesses.  Sundays our office will be closed but please, remember we always have staff available by phone to help you.
